Stylistics of choice in Surat Yusuf

Abstract

The Qur'anic text represents a distinct aesthetic linguistic value
that we can benefit greatly from its clarity، and its secrets from
modern approaches to dealing with language and literary texts،
taking into account its specificity and sanctity، and respecting its
position. Therefore، it is not our intention، nor our approach، to
drop everything that was said about the method of choice or
stylistics in general on the style of the Qur’an text. There are things
that are not valid and should not be dropped on the style of the holy
Qur’an text، but in return this does not mean closing the Qur’anic
text without linguistic approaches and literary and modern critical
doctrines .
I saw that I stand with some Qur’anic expressions from Surat
Yusuf، using the method of choice in explaining the secrets of its
choice over others. And our conversation will revolve around two
topics:
The first topic: It represents a brief theoretical framework in
which we stand with the two terms: stylistics، and the stylistic
selection، and some of the matters related to them. In it، I shall
refer briefly to the relationship between rhetoric and stylistics.
The second topic: we stand in it with examples of the words of
Surat Yusuf، and we cite the understandable significance of the
words، then we strive to explain the secret of choosing the Qur’anic
style for these particular words، without others that are close to or
equivalent to them.
The stylistic approach is the main approach used in this research،
then the analytical descriptive method.
