Abstract

The idea of the research is summarized in that I stood on the criticism made
by the Hafiz Ibrahim bin Abi Talib to Imam Muslim in his propagation of the
narration on the authority of Ahmad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Wahbi, with the
emergence of his case! Muslim replied: They did not revolt against him. Except
after his departure from Egypt, then I went back to the sayings of the imams
there, and found that they differed greatly in his case, so I decided to extrapolate
his narrations, with Imam Muslim, and look into them and find out their
amount, and the way Imam Muslim took them out, and did a Muslim bring out
to him any principles or follow-ups? Was it satisfied? In addition to the
verification of the saying in the case of the imams of criticism, this research
was, and I followed in this research the historical method, to find out the history
of this article and document it as much as I was able to do that, then I took the
inductive approach to collect the sayings of the earlier and late imams in AlWahbi, I also took the same approach to collect and graduate its narrations in
Sahih Muslim.
Then the analytical method in analyzing them, studying their methods, and
comparing them, and the deductive method to come up with clear and specific
results about his condition and his rank among critics, and on the approach of
Muslim in his narration about it.
In the first topic, I studied the article of Imam Muslim and its
documentation, and in the second topic: Al-Wahbi’s translation and the sayings
of scholars therein.
As for the third topic: I made it to study his narrations in Sahih Muslim
and divided them according to the method of Imam Muslim in its context.
Through him, I reached conclusions, including, that Al-Wahbi does not
accept his speech if he is alone, and that his mixing is not from mixing that
usually occurs unintentionally, but is intentional, as it appeared to me from the
actions of a Muslim that he did not narrate from Al-Wahbi on the authority of
his uncle alone Except where the hadith was not heard from Harmala, or from
someone else, and it is one hadith, and some two hadiths, and the total of what
Muslim narrated in his Sahih is nine hadiths, all of which are authentic from
other methods and are produced in the Sahih and Sunan
