Praise be to Allah, who revealed Qur’an to His servant and made it free from any crookedness, and may peace and blessings be upon the best of Allah’s creation in faith and deeds. This research addresses Qur’anic readings in the interpretation of Ibn al-Faras and their impact on the derivation of legal rulings (an analytical study). The structure of this research consists of an introduction, a preface, three main sections, and a conclusion.
The introduction outlines the research objectives, its significance, the challenges that may arise, and the study’s methodology.
The preface provides an introduction to Ibn al-Faras al-Andalusi, his book, his method in it, the reasons behind the variation in Qur’anic readings, and the emergence and objectives of jurisprudential exegesis.
As for the three main sections, they are as follows:
- First Section: Foundational principles of Qur’anic readings mentioned in Ibn al-Faras’s Ahkam al-Qur’an.
- Second Section: Manifestations of Ibn al-Faras’s reliance on Qur’anic readings in the derivation of legal rulings.
- Third Section: Legal rulings that are based on interpretive choices among Qur’anic readings in Ahkam al-Qur’an.
The conclusion includes the most important findings and recommendations of the research. Praise be to Allah, by whose grace good deeds are completed
