The study aims to investigate the semantic pauses in Surat Al-Mursalat, and to clarify their forms, semantic and exegetical purposes, the importance of this diversity in the forms of the pause, its impact on the details of the meanings, and the disclosure of their complexity. Through the use of the descriptive and analytical approach, the researcher concluded that the pauses in Surat Al-Mursalat are divided into two parts: the first is verbal, and it comes in the forms of symmetrical, parallel, sentential, and marginal. The second part is semantic, and it came in the form of consistent sections, ending with a casual pause, or with a complete verse with repeated words, different in purpose and meaning, some of which benefited from transferring the speech in the forms of attention and in different forms. Some of which were the purposes of appropriateness, taking into account the counterpart, revealing the ambiguity, removing the illusion, and detailing. In addition to the sound and rhetorical purposes, but these forms and purposes still need a lot of research and study; Therefore, the researcher recommends generalizing the study to all surahs of Qur'an, and clarifying the methodology and general purposes in the entire Qur'an. As well as recommending the study of the types of verse pauses, as well as the segmental and categorical pauses in the surahs similar to Surat Al-Mursalat, such as Ar-Rahman, Al-Shu'ara', Al-Qamar and others.
