Abstract

This research deals with the biography of Sheikh Ali bin
Ahmed Basbreen, preaching and reforming, as he is one of the
notables who spent most of their lives benefiting, educating and
giving advice. He played an important and influential role in the
preaching, political and social life in Hadramout and outside it.
Everyone who knew him tested that he was one of the pioneers
of the renaissance in Hadramout, and a great personality who had
a role in change and reform.
This topic was studied historically and consists of an
introduction, three topics and a conclusion as follows.
The introduction: the importance of the research, the reasons for
its selection, and the research methodology.
The first topic: aspects of his social life were mentioned, starting
with his name, lineage, birth, and upbringing.
The second topic: his scientific life and its effects. It includes his
request for knowledge, and his trip to him, his Sheikhs, his students, and his writings.
The third topic: his advocacy and reform efforts, where this topic
included a review of the most prominent stations of the Sheikh's
advocacy and reform.
The research concluded with a conclusion in which the
results I had reached.
