Ibn al-Kawa's questions to Ali bin Abi Talib

Abstract

This research deals with the study of Ibn al-Kawa's questions to Ali bin Abi Talib, and the purpose of collecting, arranging and studying these questions is an explanatory study, and knowing Ali bin Abi Talib's response to them. In the research, I followed the inductive-analytical method, and  I followed this research on a drawn plan consisting of: a summary, an introduction, three sections, a conclusion. Through it, I reached several conclusions, including: by following the explanatory narratives, we can say that the interpretative questions arose since the first era of Islam; The Companions used to ask the Prophet (peace be upon him) about what their understanding was suspected, and the meanings of the Quranic verses were formed for them, then the followers came and received most of their interpretation from the Companions, and they were asking them about matters of science and jurisprudence. The narrations indicate the dislike of the predecessors to ask about things that are not needed, and to warn against following allegories, and to forbid obsequiousness, depth, objection and debate in religion. The narrations were also reported on the questions of the Kharijites - the explanatory - of the Companions, and the most famous of what was mentioned in this: the questions of Sabigh to Omar bin Al-Khattab, and the questions of Nafi bin Al-Azraq - the leader of the Azariqa Kharijites - to Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them, and the questions of Ibn Al-Kawa asked Ali bin Abi Talib, and it is transmitted in the books of assigned archeology.
