Abstract

The research talked about the issue of conflict between
economic benefits and values, in the light of some provisions of
Qur’an and its approach in dealing with this conflict, which is to
give priority to values over economic benefits. Since the benefits
of preserving values have an impact and value in society that
outweighs the effects achieved by economic benefits, and the
release of economic interests without controls turns people into a
selfish society, and the demand for money and profit becomes the
most important element in economic transactions. When usury,
wine, and gambling were forbidden, despite the presence of
benefits in them in the text of Qur’an, their harm is greater than
their benefit; Because of the harm it causes to the individual and
society, Qur’an forbids it as values before it. Then he talked about
offering worship for economic benefits and preoccupation with
those benefits at the expense of worship, whether prayers or
Friday, and I talked about the prohibition of the polytheists
entering the Sacred Mosque, and on that day the Muslims worried
about that for fear of harming the economy of Makkah, so Qur’an
was revealed, indicating its approach to preventing the polytheists
from entering it, and it dealt with the prohibition of coercion into
prostitution. For the sake of money, so Qur’an was revealed,
forbidding this work. Maintenance of display, and preservation of
human dignity. Then it dealt with the desire of the poor to marry and not to fear poverty, so Qur’an urged them to marry. And I
talked about granting respite to the insolvent until it is easy, so
Qur’an presents the value of observing the right of the poor,
although the creditor has a right that cannot be diminished, but
rather does not possess its length.
