The Degree of using modern technology in teaching Holy Quran subject and obstacles its use from perspective of teachers of secondary stage in Mukalla city

The study aimed to identify the degree of using modern
technology in teaching Holy Quran subject and obstacles its use
from perspective of the its teachers at the secondary stage in
Mukalla city schools. To achieve the study objectives, the
analytical descriptive approach was adopted, and a questionnaire
was developed to measures the degree of use of modern
technology and obstacles its use, consisting of (45) paragraphs.
applied to the sample of (64) teachers from the secondary school
in Mukalla- Hadhramaut. Among the most prominent findings:
that the use of modern technology by teachers of Holy Qur’an
subject came to a medium degree with an arithmetic of (3.20), that
the obstacles to use of modern technology in teaching Holy Qur’an
subject came to a medium degree and with an average of (3.28).
The most prominent obstacles that facing teachers in technology
use is the large number of students in classrooms, the lack of
training courses for Holy Qur’an teachers for training on the use
of modern technology, and that there are no statistically significant
differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) towards the
degree of using modern technology in teaching Holy Qur’an
subject. And the obstacles to its use, according to the variable of
gender, qualification and experience years. The study
recommended that: it's necessary to provide Mukalla schools by
modern educational devices and technologies related to Holy
Qur’an subject and update them continuously.
