Abstract

This research aims to explain the concept of the historical text of the Qur’anic stories, its characteristics and its relationship to historical research, reveal the shortcomings of contemporary historical reading, break down how it was made to backstab the Qur’an, and shed light on the idea of “myth” for Qur’anic stories, its tools, its origin, and its danger, while illustrating the foundations and methodological ways for wise reading of the Quranic stories; Relying on the descriptive-analytical approach by describing the correct concept of the Qur’anic story and its objectives, then analyzing the studies of contemporary readers, and criticizing the concept (myth) that they used to backstab the Qur’anic stories, and the most important results: That the Qur'an takes the story out of the historical narration circle to the circle of interest in goals. And that the historical reading is one of the most dangerous contemporary readings violating the sanctity of the Qur’anic text, its conclusive connotations, and rendering it as a human linguistic literary text made by the circumstances of its surrounding environment. And that the historical reading in the contemporary Arab modern discourse is nothing but an imitation of Western philosophy and its various methods, on top of which is the historical method, and backing to a made orientalist thesis. Amin Al-Khouli made a claim that there are (myths) in the Qur’an, he and his student (Muhammad Ahmed Khalaf Allah), and this sin opened the door to the masters of contemporary readings. The research also showed that the wise reading of Qur’anic stories must take place in accordance with controls in semantics, taking into account the context, considering the purposes, and taking into account historical data, which ultimately results in a correct reading
