The research dealt with charity subject in Holy Qur’an by clarifying its meaning linguistically and terminologically, and explaining its meaning in Quranic terminology as drawing closer to Allah Almighty by giving money and others, whether obligatory or voluntary. Then it dealt with the virtue of charity and the results that those who give charity reap and the morals that they should have, such as avoiding generosity or by injury, and being diligent. The charitable person can hide his charity and give in charity what he loves. Then the research reviewed the types of charity detailed in Holy Qur’an, such as obligatory charity and voluntary, and the ways in which charity is spent, and mentioned the obstacles that obstruct a Muslim and prevent him from giving charity for the sake of Allah, such as hypocrisy and its people who blame the believers for their charity, and all the benefits of charity. Stinginess that prevents the believer from giving charity out of greed for money and love of hoarding it. Then the research explains the invalidations of charity, such as hypocrisy and begging those who give charity, and warns that these matters spoil charity and nullify the reward of those who give charity.
