This research, titled "The Investment Quartet in the Journey to Eternity: An Applied Study on the Life of Impact in Light of the Qur'an and Sunnah", presents a general framework and applied study of the concept of a life of lasting impact (ḥayāt al-athar) in light of the Holy Qur'an and the Prophetic Sunnah. The study aims to clarify the meaning of a life of impact and highlight the importance of planning for it as an essential part of the Islamic worldview—serving as a pivotal station in a person’s spiritual and moral journey, transcending the boundaries of time and space, and continuing until the Day of Judgment.
The research focuses on four key pillars for sustaining beneficial impact: development, education, upbringing, and sacrifice. The researcher employs the inductive method, the descriptive-analytical method, and the historical method by collecting, analyzing, and studying relevant Qur'anic verses and authentic prophetic traditions. The study emphasizes that eternal permanence belongs to the Hereafter and that this worldly life is but a temporary station on the human journey toward everlasting existence. The research also presents applied examples from Islamic history, along with practical recommendations and proposals for the present and future, aiming to achieve a balanced integration between worldly life and the Hereafter, and to build a beneficial and enduring legacy.
