The study aimed to *show the status of parents in islam, and
their rights upon their offsprings, specifically the right of
obedience.
Conversely, islam also necessitated rights on the parents
towards their offerings.
However, since some parents think that the obedience is
absolute, this study shed light on both sides, parents and
offsprings according to the Islamic principles.
Therefore, this study employed a method of analytic inductive
to achieve this purpose.
The study included an introduction and three chapters.
The introduction focused on the definition of obedience (filial
piety and its types ).
The first chapter: contained evidence of the obligation of filial
piety.
The second chapter: contained offsprings rights as well as
parents rights.
The third shapter: sovered the guidelines of filialpiety.
The study presented the guidelines of obedience towerds
parents* that islam obligated, whish was a doubhful point for
some of the previous people.
The stuby concluded by mentioning the most important
results and recommendations, followed by index.
