Linguistic Errors in Qur’anic Recitation: Manifestations، Causes, and Remedies (A Descriptive Study)

Abstract

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon the one sent as a mercy to all creation, and upon his noble family and righteous companions. This research aims to examine linguistic errors in the recitation of the Holy Qur’an. It explores the manifestations of such errors, the underlying causes behind their emergence and spread، and proposes effective remedies to prevent these mistakes and mispronunciations. The study identifies several common errors made by learners and is structured into an introduction, three main sections, and a conclusion. The first section discusses the various forms of linguistic mistakes (laḥn) in Qur’anic recitation. The second section analyzes the reasons that lead to these errors. The third section presents solutions and corrective measures to address and prevent laḥn in Qur’anic recitation. The conclusion summarizes the key findings reached by the research.
