The level of application of social responsibility dimensions in Yemeni Islamic banks A field study on employees of Islamic banks in Hadhramout Governorate

The study aims to deal with the level of application of the dimensions of social responsibility in Yemeni Islamic banks - a field study on employees of Islamic banks in Hadhramout Governorate - Al-Wadi & Desert - it aims to highlight social responsibility and the level of application of its dimensions on Islamic banks. The researcher has adopted the descriptive analytical approach by designing a questionnaire for employees of Islamic banks in Hadhramout Governorate. The study depends on four dimensions of social responsibility (the economic dimension, the legal, the ethical and the social). The study has reached a number of results, the most ones are: Yemeni Islamic banks practice social responsibility in various aspects of social life, but at a varying level, as there is an application of the dimensions of social responsibility combined from the point of view of their employees at a moderate level of significance, as well as an application of social responsibility to the economic dimension at a high level. As for the legal and moral dimensions, the available level has reached an average level, while the social dimension has reached a weak level. The study has concluded a number of recommendations, the most ones are: the need for Yemeni banks in general and Islamic banks in particular to provide more social responsibility activities and events in various aspects of social, economic and cultural life, especially attention to and preservation of the environment, the need to provide more social support for outstanding students and support for educational and cultural centers and the role of student housing.
