This study aims to examine the most prominent principles of Islamic jurisprudence and linguistic rules employed by Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen in establishing the understanding of the names and attributes of Allah in the verses cited by Ibn Taymiyyah in the texts of Al-Aqeedah and Al-Wasitiyyah. The research presents Sheikh al-Uthaymeen’s methodology in this regard. The researcher adopted descriptive, analytical, and inductive approaches. The study concludes that Sheikh al-Uthaymeen, in this doctrinal domain, relied on principles characterized by clarity and simplicity, making them easily comprehensible to all responsible believers (mukallaf). Most of these principles are indicated explicitly by the apparent meaning of the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The researcher recommends further study of Sheikh al-Uthaymeen’s behavioral rules across his works in creed, Qur’anic exegesis, jurisprudence, and other fields, as he devoted considerable attention to this domain
