About the Journal

The Journal of the University of Holy Qur’an and Islamic Sciences, a peer-reviewed quarterly journal, is issued by the University of Holy Qur’an and Islamic Sciences, Yemen. It is concerned with publishing original research in the fields of Qur’anic sciences, Islamic and Sharia studies, Arabic language sciences, and human, educational, and social sciences.
It was established under the name of the Journal of the Higher College of Holy Qur’an, as a peer-reviewed annual journal, and its first issue was published in February of the year 2003.
It continued to be published as an annual edition until the ninth issue, 2010/2011.
Then the journal turned into a quarterly journal and its name was changed to the Journal of the University of Holy Qur’an and Islamic Sciences, according to the college’s transformation into a university. It continues to be published quarterly after that and continues to be published... according to a moderate, comprehensive approach that relies on the principles of Holy Qur’an and the established Sunnah of the Prophet as a frame of reference regulating the university’s vision, goals and literature. .
